US blacklists 28 entities, individuals

United States Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced on Wednesday that it blacklisted a total of 28 foreign entities and individuals over "engaging in activities that are contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States."

One Russia-based entity was added to the Military End-User (MEU) list, while 27 entities and individuals predominantly from China, as well as from Japan, Pakistan and Singapore were added to the Entity List.

"Today's actions will help prevent the diversion of U.S. technologies to the PRC's [China's] and Russia's military advancement and activities of non-proliferation concern like Pakistan's unsafeguarded nuclear activities or ballistic missile program," US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo (pictured) said in a statement.
