Russia's aggression would come at high price - NATO

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warned on Wednesday that "any future Russian aggression" directed toward Ukraine would come "at a high price" and have "serious political and economic consequences" for that country.

Speaking at a press conference after the meeting of foreign ministers of NATO's members, Stoltenberg stressed that the alliance's "support for Ukraine's territorial integrity remains unwavering."

His comments come after the United States told Russia any potential military actions against Ukraine would have consequences. The United Kingdom went on to describe Moscow's claims NATO is the provocateur in the situation as false. Later, Ukraine expressed its readiness to negotiate the issue with Russia. The Kremlin responded that Moscow is not the one that can de-escalate the tensions given the circumstances.
