S. Korea's COVID cases remain below 5,000 for 2 days

Newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Korea remained below 5,000 for two consecutive days, despite critical cases rising to a record high, Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) revealed.

After the newly registered 4,954 cases are included, the total number of people who tested positive for the virus in the country reached 482,310.

In the meantime, the number of critically ill patients hit an all-time high of 774, as 64 new deaths were registered, bringing the country's death toll to 3,957.
