Europe opens higher amid data releases

Major stock markets in Europe opened higher on Tuesday after the freshest update on the United Kingdom's unemployment rate noted a quarterly decline of 0.4% in three months to October. Later in the day, the Eurozone will reveal its latest results in industrial production.

The DAX opened 0.36% higher as MTU Aero Engines NA grew by 1.82%. The FTSE 100 gained 0.65%, with Ocado Group PLC surging by 5.44%. The CAC 40 increased by 0.52% as ArcelorMittal SA rose by 3.14%.

The euro lost 0.09% to the dollar to sell for $1.12745 at 8:55 am CET. A minute later, the pound sterling stood flat against the greenback to go for $1.32075.
