Oil prices go up, Brent rises by 1%

The cost of oil expanded on Tuesday after the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) stated it expected a surplus in the commodity market in the first quarter of 2022.

Later in the day, the American Petroleum Institute (API) will publish its newest weekly report on the commodity's stocks in the United States.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for deliveries in February increased by 0.89% at 8:40 am ET to sell for $76.83 per barrel. At the same moment, Brent for settlements in March advanced by 1.06% to go for $79.75 per barrel.
