Report: US oil inventories down by 6.43M barrels

Crude oil inventories in the United States decreased by 6.43 million barrels in the week ending December 31, 2021, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) reportedly showed on Tuesday. Reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma, allegedly increased by 2.27 million barrels.

Gasoline stockpiles grew by 7.06 million barrels, while distillate inventories added 4.38 million barrels, according to the reported data.

Brent for March 2022 deliveries rose by 1.33% to go for $79.96 per barrel at 4:33 pm ET, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for settlements in February 2022 was 1.08% higher, selling for $76.97 per barrel at the same time.
