Europe opens lower amid inflation, COVID news

European equities opened Thursday's session lower after being flat in the premarket. During the day, pandemics and inflation will continue to set the pace of market activity. In addition, investors are awaiting the ECB's new economic bulletin and remarks from Luis De Guindos, which may contain indications on the possible future course of monetary policy.

The DAX fell 0.37% at 9:02 am CET, Covestro AG opened losing 1,15%. The CAC 40 lost 0.35%, Renault led the losses with a 1,34% drop, and The FTSE 100 decreased 0.18%, while Next Plc was down 2,30%.
