Enemies hit economy to turn Iranians against country - Khamenei

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei claimed on Sunday that Tehran's "enemies" targeted the nation's economy to turn its people against their own country and "fulfill their vicious political goals."

However, their plan was not successful, he added, quoting current United States Department of State spokesman Ned Price, who said during a press briefing earlier this week that "the maximum pressure campaign" against Iran devised by the Trump administration "was an abject failure."

According to his official Twitter account, Khamenei made his remarks at today's "meeting with manufacturers and business activists."
