Europe opens higher ahead of UK, Eurozone data

Major European markets opened the last trading session of the week higher. Earlier, Destatis posted that new factory orders in Germany jumped 2.8%, while French Sanofi announced net income losses by 49.4% for 2021. Regarding coronavirus, cases continue to soar in Germany, with a new record. Today's trading session will see the latest reports on UK services and manufacturing and eurozone retail sales.

The DAX gained 0.34% at 9:02 am CET, with Delivery Hero up 2.27%. The CAC 40 added 0.66%, while BNP Paribas improved by 3.27%, and the FTSE 100 was up 0.79%, as Rosneft DRC rose 3.15%.

The euro improved by 0.31% against the dollar at 8:58 am CET, selling for $ 1.14658. In comparison, the pound was down by 0.09% to go for $ 1.35827 at the same time.
