UN to start commission to probe Russia's actions in Ukraine

United Nations Human Rights Council voted on Friday in favor of establishing a commission to investigate the state of human rights in Ukraine "stemming from the Russian aggression." Out of the 47 members of the council, 32 voted in favor, 13 abstained, with only Russia and Eritrea voting against the resolution.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet (pictured left) said that by Tuesday night, her office had recorded and confirmed 752 civilian casualties in Ukraine, including 227 killed, 15 of them children. She warned that the real figures are likely far higher. Over 2 million Ukrainians have fled the country so far.
