Report: US oil inventories down by 4.28M barrels

Crude oil inventories in the United States decreased by 4.28 million barrels in the week ending March 18, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) reportedly showed on Tuesday. On the other hand, in the same period, reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma, allegedly rose by 646,000 barrels.

The stockpiles of distillates declined by 626,000 barrels. Meanwhile, the supply of gasoline dipped by 826,000 barrels.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for deliveries in May dropped by 0.41% at 4:28 pm ET to go for $108.76 per barrel. A minute later, Brent for inventories in the aforementioned month fell by 0.49% to sell for $114.84 per barrel.
