Oil prices turn to gains as Ukraine crisis continues

The prices of oil futures registered gains on Tuesday after sinking by almost 9% as Saudi Arabian Energy Minster Province Abdulaziz bin Salman remarked the broadened Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC+) is not planning to include politics in its forthcoming decisions.

Previously, his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates, Suhail al-Mazroui, stressed that Russia is an irreplaceable member of the OPEC+ and the global oil market despite the sanctions some countries imposed on it amid its military intervention in Ukraine.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for deliveries in May went up by 1.16% at 10:13 to sell for $107.10 per barrel. A minute later, Brent for settlements in the same month rose by 1.53% to go for $114.20 per barrel.
