Oil prices return to gains amid US stock reports

The prices of oil futures returned to gains on Wednesday, after recording losses during the previous day, following the American Petroleum Institute's (API) data that reportedly showed the stocks of the commodity in the United States observed a weekly decline of three million barrels.

Investors will also keep an eye on the Energy Information Administration's (EIA) update on the stocks of crude oil in the US, as well as on the developments in the new round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for settlements in May went up by 1.21% at 2:18 am ET to sell for $105.40 per barrel. A minute later, Brent for the same month's deliveries rose by 1.19% to go for $111.54 per barrel.
