Japan's trade deficit down to ¥412.4B in March

Japan's total merchandise trade deficit went under analysts' expectations in March, landing at ¥412.4 billion, according to a report released by the country's Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.

The Japanese adjusted trade deficit for March was also below experts' expectations of ¥560.5 billion, amounting finally to ¥899.8 billion.

The country's exports for the time period also landed below market estimates, rising by 14.7% on an annual basis, as imports surprised expectations increasing by 31.2% year-on-year.
