Roche's Q1 sales up 11% to $17.17 billion

F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG said on Monday its first-quarter sales increased by 11% to 16.4 billion Swiss francs ($17.17 billion) and surpassed market estimates, driven by the expansion of both its pharmaceutical and diagnostics divisions.

Commenting on the 2022 outlook, Roche noted it expects sales to remain stable or grow by low-single digits, with earnings per share rising by low to mid-single digits, taking in mind share repurchase plans. At the same time, the Swiss pharma company announced it would increase dividend further.

Roche's shares lost 1.51% to sell for 363.20 Swiss francs in early Monday's session following the earnings announcement.
