Microsoft's revenue up 18% to $49.4B in Q3

Microsoft Corporation said on Tuesday its revenue in the third quarter of 2022 amounted to $49.4 billion, jumping 18% from the same period a year earlier and topping analysts' estimates.

The tech giant's GAAP diluted earnings per share rose 9% year on year to $2.22 and GAAP net income increased 8% to $16.7 billion. GAAP operating income soared 19% to $20.4 billion. Adjusted net income surged 13% to $14.8 billion, or $1.95 per share.

Microsoft shares added 0.94% in after-hours trading after the announcement.
