Kim Jong-un calls army to 'bolster up its strength' - state media

The North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-un during the Monday military parade called on the country's army to "bolster up its strength in every way to annihilate the enemy", the state media reported on Friday.

Commenting on the military arms achievements displayed at the state parade, Kim stated that the event demonstrated "modernity, heroism and radical development of the armed forces of the Republic and their matchless military and technological superiority."

At the same ceremony, the state media on Tuesday reported Kim saying that he will continue to boost the country's nuclear capacities and that any force seeking armed confrontation with Pyongyang "will cease to exist."
