Berkshire increases stake in Activision Blizzard to 9.5%
Berkshire Hathaway Inc. CEO Warren Buffett said on Saturday that his company now owns 9.5% of Activision Blizzard Inc. shares. The video game giant's shareholders approved on Thursday its acquisition by Microsoft Corp. for $68.7 billion.
"If the deal goes through, we make some money, and if the deal doesn’t go through, who knows what happens. We don’t know what the Justice Department will do, we don’t know what the EU will do, we don’t know what 30 other jurisdictions will do. One thing we do know is that Microsoft has the money," Buffett said at Berkshire's shareholder meeting.
