Disney's revenue up by 23% to $19.25 billion in Q2

The Walt Disney Company said on Wednesday that its revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2022 stood at $19.25 billion, after a 23% rise on an annual comparison basis.

The company's net profit nearly halved on the year in the second trimester, dropping 48% and amounting to $470 million, or $0.26 per share, diluted. Disney+ had 44.4 million paid subscribers as of April 3, jumping 19% year on year.

"Our strong results in the second quarter, including fantastic performance at our domestic parks and continued growth of our streaming services—with 7.9 million Disney+ subscribers added in the quarter and total subscriptions across all our DTC offerings exceeding 205 million—once again proved that we are in a league of our own," CEO Bob Chapek commented.
