US lower premarket as inflation woes linger

Shares on the major stock market indices in the United States traded in the red in the premarket on Monday, as investors seemingly still struggled to brush off fears of prices in the country rising further.

Aside from hints from the Federal Reserve, the traders will closely monitor corporate earnings, with some of the major retailers such as Walmart Inc., Home Depot Inc, and Target Corporation set to release quarterly reports later this week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.28% at 4:03 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 slid 0.71% at the same time. The S&P 500 concurrently went down by 0.48%. The euro was flat compared to the dollar a minute later, selling for 1.04093.
