Precious metals mostly decline as dollar strengthens

Prices of precious metals fell on Monday as the US currency gained some stability, seemingly making the safe havens less desirable to own. Gold has been on a downward trend since mid-April, and has gone under $1,800 last Friday.

Gold tumbled 0.62% to $1,800.15 per ounce at 7:58 am ET. Meanwhile, Silver gained 0.09% to sell for $21.12 per ounce a minute later. Platinum declined 0.74% to go for $937.80 per ounce at 7:59 am ET. Palladium decreased 0.70% to sell for $1,930.20 at 8:00 am ET.
