Asia mixed upon RBA's Kent policy statement

Equities in the Asia-Pacific region traded with mixed results on Monday session as Reserve Bank of Australia assistant governor Christopher Kent noted that the RBA will begin cutting its quantitative easing program due to the country's evident economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

In South Korea, the Kospi Composite added 0.06% at 4:30 am CET, while over in China, the Shanghai Composite lost 0.35% at 4:15 am CET as the Shenzhen Composite was down 0.15%.

The Nikkei 225 climbed 0.50% at 4:30 am CET, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 traded flat at the same time. Simultaneously, Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined by 1.59%. At 4:29 am CET, the dollar was down 0.49% against the yen, going for ¥127.3010.
