Habeck: We could be running into a global recession

German Economy Minister Robert Habeck (pictured) suggested on Monday that the world could be "running into a global recession," should the current crises are not resolved.

During the panel Energy Outlook: Overcoming the Crisis at the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos 2022, Habeck stated that at this moment, the world is going through four crises regarding inflation, energy prices, food, and the climate. In this regard, the minister emphasized that the solution to the identified problems cannot be isolated but must all be addressed simultaneously.

Finally, he again discussed his government's stance on the imposition of oil sanctions against Russia, stressing that Germany is ready to go ahead with the embargo without Hungary if the EU commission proposes it.
