Wall Street opens lower amid data

Major stock indexes in the United States opened the trading session on Thursday in the red, with the negative sentiment driven by the country's job reports. Investors will receive data on the country's manufactured goods later today.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.13% at the opening bell, with Amgen Inc. losing 2.46%. The Nasdaq 100 decreased by 0.62% with the Kraft Heinz Company and Microsoft Corporation pulling the index down by 4.21% and 3.20% respectively. The S&P 500 also recorded losses, falling by 0.33%, as Paramount Global was the index's worst performer, with a 4.14% plummet at the opening session.

The euro was 0.47% higher compared to the dollar, going for $1.07054 at 9:24 am ET.
