US crude inventories rise by 2 million barrels - EIA

Commercial crude oil inventories in the United States, which are not taking into account those in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, increased by 2 million to 418.7 million barrels in the week ending June 10, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed in its report published on Wednesday.

US crude oil refinery inputs averaged 16.3 million barrels per day, down by 67,000 barrels per day from the average recorded the prior week. Refineries operated at 93.7% of their capacity, while gasoline production increased, averaging 10 million daily barrels.

Imports of crude oil in the US averaged 7 million barrels per day, 0.8 million barrels per day more than the previous week. Total commercial petroleum inventories increased by 4.9 million barrels.
