Asia mostly down on PBoC's rate decision

Major stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded mostly with losses after the People's Bank of China announced that it decided to leave national loan prime rates unchanged in June.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite went down by 0.37% at 4:15 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite added 0.93% a minute later. At 4:30 am CET, the Australian S&P/ASX 200 decreased by 0.98% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined by 0.71%.

Japan's Nikkei 225 fell by 1.65% at 4:30 am CET while South Korea's Kospi lost 2.36% at the same time. At 4:27 am CET, the dollar was flat against the yen to go for ¥134.9080.
