Asia trades higher amid inflation concerns
Most major stock market indexes in Asia subsided after last week's turmoil and traded higher on Tuesday with investors' concerns about short-lived inflation, despite some central banks hinting at further rate hikes.
On the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite went up by 0.18% at 4:30 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite rising by a mere 0.09% at 6:15 am CET. Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 1.43% at 6:05 am CET, with South Korea's Kospi up by 0.81% at 6:20 am CET.
At 6:20 am CET, the Australian S&P 200 increased by 1.51%, as the dollar went 0.05% down against the yen, going for ¥135.0340. Japan's Nikkei 225 surged by 2.15% at 6:21 am CET.
