Afghanistan earthquake kills at least 250 people

At least 250 people were killed in Afghanistan after an earthquake struck the country's east, local and foreign media reported on Wednesday, mostly citing information from local officials.

The number of injured people in the eastern provinces of Paktika, Nangarhar and Khostis is in the hundreds, according to the reports.

European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the earthquake had a 6.1 magnitude.
