Seoul to establish security network in NATO

South Korea's National Security Adviser, Kim Sung-han, revealed on Wednesday that Seoul intends to build a comprehensive security network with its NATO allies by establishing a delegation to the alliance in Brussels, as the two parties plan joint training and research in the fields of innovative technologies, intelligence sharing, and cyber security.

Speaking to the reporters about President Yoon Suk-yeol's planned attendance at the NATO summit this month, the national security advisor explained that the country wants to strengthen ties with the alliance, noting that the head of state will detail the government's position on the North Korean nuclear issue.

Earlier, deputy foreign ministers of South Korea, the United States, and Japan agreed on a mutual objective of North Korean denuclearization in response to Pyongyang's increasing number of missile launches from the beginning of the year.
