Asia mixed after Japan data

Major stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded with mixed gains after S&P Global reported that Japan's composite PMI rose by 0.9 points to reach 53.2 in June, while its services business activity index climbed from 52.6 in May to 54.2 in June.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.19% at 4:15 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite trading flat a minute later. At 4:30 am CET, South Korea's Kospi Composite decreased 0.63%, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.30% at the same time.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 increased 0.23% at 4:32 am CET with Japan's Nikkei 225 trading flat at the same moment. The dollar was 0.34% down against the yen at 4:30 am CET, selling for 135.7815.
