N. Korean missiles threaten stability in Indo-Pacific - Seoul

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) Chairman General Won In-chou spoke to his United States counterpart General Mark A. Milley and concurred that North Korea's military threats represent a "significant challenge threatening peace and stability not only on the Korean Peninsula but also in the Indo-Pacific region," JCS revealed in a press release on Thursday.

In addition, the two countries' military chairs agreed that the allies' combined defense posture is "more solid than at any other time" in the face of North Korea's nuclear tests, as Seoul warned that Pyongyang could soon launch another intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), following a series of similar threats, while Milley reaffirmed Washington's "ironclad" commitment to South Korea's defense.

Previously, Seoul announced it build a comprehensive security network with its NATO allies by establishing a delegation to the alliance in Brussels, as the country looks to strengthen its ties with the organization.
