Consequences of Ukraine crisis to be felt for 10 years - Turkey

The consequences of the ongoing "cold war" in eastern Europe will be felt for another ten years, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman Ibrahim Kalin estimated.

Kalin said in a Haberturk TV interview that Ankara receives requests from the West to impose sanctions against Russia but repeated that Turkey will not do that as it is dependent on external energy sources and as it wants to be a mediator in the negotiations between Moscow and Kiev, Russian media reported.

Moving on to other topics, the Turkish official noted that Ankara is ready for a new military operation in northern Syria and revealed that Erdogan will attend a summit alongside NATO, Sweden and Finland on Tuesday, June 28 in Madrid ahead of the actual NATO summit.
