Asian markets follow Wall Street lower
Most equities in Asia-Pacific traded lower on Tuesday as market participants in the region reacted to the negative sentiment that came out of the US markets where investors reacted to the economic sanctions imposed on Russia and the further decline in crude stockpiles at the country's Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite traded 0.15% lower at 4:50 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite flat a minute later. At 4:52 am CET, Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 0.81% as South Korea's Kospi Composite fell by 0.04%.
At 4:53 m CET, the dollar went 0.18% down against the yen, going for ¥135.2340, and the Australian S&P 200 increased by 0.34%. Japan's Nikkei 225 lost 0.15% at 4:35 am CET.
