Spain's inflation tops 10% in June, highest since 1985
Consumer prices in Spain annually increased by a record 10.2% in June, significantly above market estimates, according to a preliminary report published by the National Statistics Institute on Wednesday.
If the early data gets confirmed next month, it would mean Spain's inflation has reached the highest level since 1985, with consumer prices excluding food and energy products increasing at the highest pace in nearly 30 years.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 1.8% in June.
