Putin: West doesn't care about Ukraine's well-being

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday, after the Caspian Summit, that the West's call for continuous fighting shows that they do not care about Ukraine's well-being and are using the country as a means to "protect their goals" and "rock Russia."

Putin noted that Russian troops are achieving their military goals in Ukraine, and reiterated that the final objective is to "protect Donbass and create conditions guaranteeing the security of Russia." He further continued by saying that there is no point in setting an end date to the "special military operation" in Ukraine.

Lastly, on the matter of NATO deploying infrastructure in Finland and Sweden, the head of Russia underlined that Moscow will have to respond "in kind" if that is to happen.
