Euro drops to 19-year low against dollar

The euro slid on Tuesday, hitting the lowest level against the dollar since 2003, after the release of worse-than-expected services PMI data.

According to a survey by S&P Global, the activity in the services sector in the Eurozone dropped to the lowest level in 16 months, while the German services PMI stood at a 5-month low.

The euro fell 0.80% against the greenback to go for 1.03387 at 10:32 am CET and lost 0.41% compared to the pound to sell for 0.85751 at 10:33 am CET.
