Dow loses over 1% in US premarket trade
United States stock indexes extended premarket losses on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones falling over 350 points. European markets dropped as well as fears of a recession continued following pessimistic reports on the private sector and investor confidence.
The Dow Jones declined 1.15% or 357 points at 8:17 am ET as the Nasdaq 100 lost 1.42% and the S&P 500 decreased by 1.15%.
The euro traded 1.28% lower against the dollar, selling for 1.02897 at 8:19 am ET and dropping to levels unseen since 2002.
