UK government to tell Johnson to resign - report

A delegation composed of members of the United Kingdom government has gone to Downing Street to tell Prime Minister Boris Johnson to resign or they will, Sky News reported on Wednesday.

Chancellor of the Exchequer Nadhim Zahawi, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps, Trade Secretary Anne Marie Trevelyan, Home Secretary Priti Patel, Welsh Secretary Simon Hart and Conservative Party Chief Whip Chris Heaton-Harris are currently at the seat of the country's government. Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng and Northern Ireland Secretary Brandon Lewis are not in London at the moment but are reportedly backing their colleagues' efforts.

The same news organization reported that a total of 36 UK cabinet members have stepped down in a wave of resignations since yesterday evening.
