Inflation, recession fears to cause issues for airports - Fitch

Fitch Ratings warned on Wednesday that airports across the globe could expect to face financial troubles following the summer due to soaring inflation and slowing economic activity.

"The Russia-Ukraine war impact has only seen nominal direct changes to global aviation to date, though supply-chain disruptions and consumer confidence risks are advancing concerns," the agency's latest Global Airport Traffic Tracker report also added.

China, Brazil, and Colombia can expect full air traffic recovery in the upcoming years, while Europe and the United States are set to register slight improvements compared to the levels seen during the coronavirus pandemic.
