Australia trade surplus at $10.8M in May
Australian May trade surplus went above analyst expectations to amount to A$15.9 million (~$10.8 million), the country's Bureau of Statistics reported on Thursday.
Australian exports rose 9.5% to A$58.4 million (~$39.7 million), led by rises in exports of coal, coke and briquettes, and other mineral fuels.
The country's imports increased 5.8% to A$42.4 million (~$28.8 million), primarily driven by import rises of fuels and lubricants, as well as non-industrial transport equipment.
