Boeing CEO doesn't rule out canceling 737-10

Boeing Chief Executive David Calhoun hasn't ruled out the possibility of the planemaker shelving the latest member of the MAX family, 737-10, due to certification issues.

Calhoun told the Aviation Week magazine in an interview published on Thursday that Boeing could decide to suspend 737-10 production plans if United States Congress doesn't extend the deadline that requires the company to update its flight deck system.

"The 737-10 is a little bit of an all-or-nothing. I think our case is persuasive enough... This is a risk I'm willing to take. If I lose the fight, I lose the fight," Calhoun argued.
