Erdogan echoes threats about Finland, Sweden in NATO

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Monday that if Sweden and Finland wish to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) they have to take all the necessary steps, otherwise Ankara will freeze the process.

"We see that Sweden does give a good picture. [Turkish] stance is very clear, they know the rest," Erdogan remarked, as he previously voiced his disagreement with Sweden and Finland allegedly supporting Kurdish organizations.

This comes a fortnight after both countries signed the accession protocol on July 5.
