German producer prices up 32.7% in June

Producer prices in Germany increased by 32.7% year-on-year in June, the country's statistical office Destatis reported on Wednesday. The index was 0.6% up in comparison to May.

Energy prices jumped 86.1% on a yearly basis and advanced 1.6% from the prior month. Prices of intermediate goods rose by 22.3% from June 2021 but declined by 0.6% from May 2022, while the prices of capital goods increased by 7.4% annually and by 0.4% month-on-month.

Prices of durable consumer goods were 10.5% and 1.2% higher compared to June 2021 and May 2022, respectively. Non-durable consumer goods' prices grew 14.7% year-over-year and 0.7% in comparison to the previous month.
