Roscosmos to leave ISS project after 2024

Russia's Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities will withdraw from International Space Station (ISS) project after 2024, it was announced following the meeting between Director General of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

"Of course, we will fulfill all our obligations to our partners, but the decision and leaving this station after 2024 has been made," said Borisov. According to Borisov, by that time the Russian Federation will begin to form the Russian Orbital Station (ROSS).

Furthermore, the space agency's new leader stated that the primary goal of Roscosmos will be to provide the Russian economy with the necessary space services, such as navigation, communications, data transmission, meteorological, and geodetic information.
