Renault's H1 revenue virtually unchanged

Renault SA announced on Friday that its revenue in the first half of 2022 stood at €21.12 billion, an increase of just 0.30% compared to the figure posted in the same period in 2021, later adjusted following the discontinuation of the brand's operations in Russia. On the other hand, the enterprise's sales declined to 11.9% over the same timespan to one million.

The company's operating income surged by 159.39% year-on-year to €939 million, while its net income from continuing operations soared by 206.28% to €634 million. Meanwhile, it scored diluted losses per share of €4.98 per share, with the figure worsening from earnings per share (EPS) of €1.30 registered in the same half in 2021.

In the report, Renault recognized that "the particular risk related to Russia in the risks related to geopolitical instability and economic conditions materialized during the semester," and that it "also remains exposed to the risk of disruptions in the supply chain of electronic components that affect both Renault Group and the automotive industry."
