Alonso to drive F1 for Aston Martin in 2023
Former Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso will drive for Aston Martin from next season, the team announced on Monday.
"Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team is delighted to confirm that Fernando Alonso will join the team in 2023 on a multi-year contract," the team stated.
Alonso, who has been driving for Alpine-Renault since last season, won the Formula 1 championship in 2005 and 2006 with Renault.
