Wall Street lower premarket on quarterly earnings

Major stock markets on Wall Street dipped below the flatline on Tuesday, as investors kept an eye on corporate earnings.

The negative sentiment is seemingly driven by weaker than expected preliminary quarterly results by Nvidia the day before, as well as other major American companies' earnings that recorded losses for the second quarter of the fiscal year. However, Warner Music Group Corp. revealed a revenue increase in its third-quarter earnings by 7% on annum.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 0.15% at 7:43 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 plunged by 0.64% and 0.39% respectively. The euro was 0.21% up against the dollar, going for $1.02177 at 7:53 am ET.
