DAX turns to losses amid energy worries

The DAX turned to losses on Tuesday while the CAC 40 extended its run in the red territory after Russia's JSC Transneft accused Ukraine of halting the transfer of oil via one of the branches going through its territory to Hungary, Czechia, and Slovakia. The decision led to a new rise in the prices of that commodity.

Meanwhile, Germany stressed the necessity for the country to save at least 20% of gas to be able to go through the winters of 2022 and 2023, and 2023 and 2024.

The DAX went down by 1.20% at 2:14 pm CET. The CAC 40 decreased by 0.38% at 2:29 pm CET. At the same time, the FTSE 100 stood flat. The euro gained 0.39% compared to the dollar at 2:30 pm CET, selling for $1.02363. A minute later, the pound sterling increased by 0.25% against the greenback to go for $1.21137.
