Russian oil deliveries to Czechia to resume today - operator

Russian oil deliveries to the Czech Republic through the Druzhba pipeline will resume on Friday evening at 6:00 pm CET, Slovak pipeline operator Transpetrol announced today.

The flow of Russian crude had been suspended for a week via the southern branch of the Druzhba pipeline to Hungary, Czechia, and Slovakia as Russia has been unable to pay for the transit due to sanctions put in place by the European Union.

Earlier, Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Plc. and its Slovakian subsidiary Slovnaft a.s. struck an agreement with Ukraine about the restart of the petroleum flow to central Europe after they paid transit fees themselves.
