UK deputy PM: Gov't to outline energy plan this week
Britain's Health Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister Therese Coffey (pictured) stated on Wednesday that the new government will present its plan for addressing the ongoing energy crisis to the Parliament and the general public later this week.
Speaking to Sky News, Coffey underscored Prime Minister Liz Truss's readiness to "hit the ground running" to help the British citizens overcome the hardships. She also expressed her confidence that the previously announced aid package worth £130 billion "will reassure people when they hear what will be offered."
In her first speech as prime minister, Truss stressed the government will take necessary steps to make sure the public can afford to pay their energy bills.
